Lead Recruiter - Direct Hire/Colleague

The Lead Recruiter manages the full-cycle recruiting process across multiple functional groups or business units and help build an exceptional recruiting team to move business forward.


  • Support new IT, cleared business & surge support of existing team.
  • Manages full life-cycle recruiting process including sourcing, interviewing, presenting candidates, and negotiating offers
  • Writes complete and detailed search assignments (client engagement documents), ensuring an understanding of job duties, responsibilities and business requirements.
  • Develops and executes recruiting strategies designed to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools
  • Leverages online recruiting resources and in-house Applicant Tracking Systems to identify and help candidates fully understand the opportunity
  • Strategically recruits active and passive candidates (cold-calling)
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Stays abreast of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.  Maintains current market knowledge and competitor trends
  • Effectively able to have direct communication with existing Enterprise clients for new requisitions, qualify positions, negotiate terms, and distribute details to the recruiting team.
  • Work closely with existing recruiters to share best practices & provide assistance on critical needs.
  • Mentor and train new and existing Sourcers and Recruiters., including fostering an environment that promotes personal and professional development.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with each recruiter to review performance and establish expectations.
  • On the floor leader to assist with daily issue resolutions and job order coverage.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma; Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Seven (7) years of recruiting experience, minimum of five (5) years of experience recruiting technical and cleared professionals.  .
  • Combination of agency and corporate experience preferred but not required.


  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Combination of agency and corporate experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience using staffing systems and tools including relational database Applicant Tracking Systems, the Internet, job boards, etc.
  • Expert level knowledge in all full life-cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management and due diligence; agency and/or corporate experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience at managing client or partner relationships. 
  • Negotiation and sales/persuasion skills experience.
  • Recruited for a broad and deep range of positions.
  • Excellent at building and maintaining a candidate pipeline.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and drive for results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Focus on continuous process improvement and driving efficiencies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
